İzmir Katip Çelebi University – İKÇÜ was established as a state university in 2010. The mission of IKCU is to increase the welfare of humanity and conduct researches that prioritize solving the problems for this purpose. Also, to enable the results of these researches to be applied and offer IKCU’s knowledge to the service of the society.
In current structure of IKCU, There are ten faculties (Faculty of Dentistry, Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, Faculty of Engineering and Architecture, Faculty of Fisheries, Faculty of Forestry, Faculty of Health Sciences ,Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, Faculty of Islamic Sciences, Faculty of Medicine ,Faculty of Naval Architecture and Ocean Engineering, Faculty of Pharmacy, Faculty of Tourism and Faculty of Art and Design), two vocational schools, one preparatory school, three institutes (Social, Health and Applied Sciences). There are more than 13000 students and around 2000 foreign students from all over the World.
As a part of internationalization strategy, there are three main coordinators assigned to increase the number of international agreements with the partners from all over the World. These coordinators are dedicated to Erasmus, Mevlana & Farabi and International Students.
