ODNOS

Association for the development and integration of social science and cultural relations – ODNOS, was founded in 2006 and has 10 years of experiences with social, political inclusion and education of children, youth and adults with aim of creating nonviolent and diverse multicultural society, active responsible citizenship in a plural contemporary society.

It is a voluntary, independent, non-governmental and non-profit association, working in the field of migration, integration, social inclusion, social protection, intercultural and intergenerational dialogue, fundamental human rights. Our main activity is providing support to immigrants, asylum seekers and beneficiaries of international protection.

Since 2012 ODNOS is providing regular holistic and professional support, protection and advocacy to integration of refugees, mainly to people who are recognized international protection in Slovenia. Through the past years, our program for integration offered a substantial help to a number of refugee families including children and unaccompanied minors, women SGBV survivors, persons with special needs have been regularly included in our program and have received our assistance.

It is being implemented by our employees and coworkers as well as volunteers, who offer profound expertise and have experience with refugees and migration as well as required cultural knowledge and knowledge of languages spoken by the persons of concern. We run offices in Ljubljana and Maribor, where the integration houses are also located, and the majority of refugee population lives. We ensure they find accommodation and apply for rights for social transfers, register at employment office, find health assistance, we include children to schools and day care facilities, assist them to enter job market etc.
